Overview
Rooster is designed to calculate daylight-based reminders without a developer-operated account or backend service. The app stores your routines, hunting inputs, preferences, and widget snapshot data on your device.
Information Stored
Rooster may store the following information locally on your device:
- Farm routine names, selected sunrise or sunset event, reminder offsets, and enabled or disabled status.
- Hunt planner values such as date, preparation time, travel time, stand buffer, and legal-light offset.
- App preferences such as selected theme, manual location name, and widget display data.
Location
If you allow location access, Rooster uses your approximate device location to calculate local sunrise and sunset times. You can also enter a manual city or ZIP code. Rooster does not send location information to the developer and does not use location for advertising or tracking.
Notifications
Rooster uses local notifications to remind you about farm routines and hunt wake times. Notification scheduling happens on your device through Apple's notification system. Notification permission can be changed at any time in iOS Settings.
Widgets and App Groups
Rooster may save a small local widget snapshot in an Apple app group so the widget extension can show daylight and alert information. This shared container is local to Rooster and its widget extension.
Analytics, Advertising, and Tracking
Rooster does not include advertising, third-party analytics SDKs, cross-app tracking, or a developer-operated network analytics service. Rooster does not sell personal information.
Data Deletion
You can delete locally stored Rooster data by deleting the app from your device. You can also remove or edit routines and hunt planner values inside the app.
Children's Privacy
Rooster is a general daylight utility and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
If Rooster's data practices change, this privacy policy and any App Store privacy disclosures will be updated before the changed version is released.
